DUE TO WHAT IT DEEMS TO AN 'UNATTRACTIVE BUSINESS CLIMATE' IN CALIFORNIA,  RADIATION DETECTION COMPANY IN GILROY IS RELOCATING TO TEXAS.      THE BUSINESS, LOCATED in the 8 thousand block of CAMINO ARROYO, IS NEGOTIATING PURCHASING A BUILDING SITE IN AUSTIN, TEXAS AND HOPES TO MOVE THERE BY 2014.     ROUGHLY 50 EMPLOYEES WILL LOSE THEIR JOBS OVER THE RELOCATION; THE COMPANY HAS OPERATED OUT OF SANTA CLARA COUNTY SINCE 1949.

FINAL GANG VIOLENCE PREVENTION MEETING 5/15/13 11:00a DMF

SIX COLLABORATIVE COMMUNITY WORKSHOPS HOSTED BY THE ASSOCIATION OF MONTEREY BAY AREA GOVERNMENTS WERE HELD IN HOLLISTER TUESDAY.   THE WORKSHOPS STARTED AT 6 P-M AT THE HOLLISTER COMMUNITY CENTER LOCATED ON 300 WEST STREET.   DIALOGUES ON FUTURE GROWTH AND HOW TO PRIORITIZE FUTURE TRANSPORTATION IMPROVEMENTS WERE FEATURED.

HOLL MAN ARR FOR THREATS - 04/14/13 20:51 S.S.

A  39  YEAR-OLD MAN  HAS  BEEN  ARRESTED  FOR ALLEGEDLY  THREATENING  HIS  OWN  FAMILY  WITH  A  LOADED  FIREARM.      THE  INCIDENT  TOOK  PLACE  RECENTLY  ON  THE  600  BLOCK  OF  HILLCREST  ROAD IN  HOLLISTER.      JOSE  LOMELI,  WHO  FACES  POSSIBLE  CHARGES  OF  SPOUSAL  ABUSEILLEGAL POSSESSION OF  A FIREARMDEATH  THREATS,  AND  ASSAULT  WITH  A  DEADLY  WEAPON,   WAS  BOOKED  INTO  SAN  BENITO  COUNTY  JAIL.

WOMAN ARR FOR CAUSING MON. CRASH - 05/14/13 22:56 S.S.

A  60 YEAR-OLD  WOMAN  HAS  BEEN  ARRESTED  FOR  CAUSING  A  MONDAY  NIGHT  CRASH  ON  FREEDOM  BOULEVARD NEAR  BOWKER  ROAD.       ISABEL  B  ALVARADO WAS  REPORTEDLY  DRIVING  UNDER  THE  INFLUENCE WHEN  HER  LEXUS  HIT  A  MAZDA…SENDING  IT  INTO  THE  YARD OF  A  FREEDOM  BOULEVARD HOME.       THE  53  YEAR-OLD  WATSONVILLE  MAN  DRIVING  THE MAZDA  SUFFERED  MAJOR  INJURIES,   AND  HIS  PASSENGER  SUFFERED  MINOR  INJURIES.      ALVARADO AND  HER  PASSENGER  BOTH  SUFFERED  MODERATE  INJURIES  IN  THE  9:15  P-M  CRASH.

AFTER  BEING  EVALUATED  FOR  D.U.I.TREATED,   AND  RELEASEDALVARADO WAS  BOOKED  INTO  SANTA CRUZ  COUNTY  JAIL ON  SUSPICION  OF  FELONY  D.U.I.
