THE BOARDWALK'S PREMIER ROLLERCOASTER WILL NOW DEBUT IN JULY.   THE  UNDERTOW WAS SLATED TO OPEN AT THE BEGINNING OF THE SEASON A COUPLE OF WEEKS AGO. THE COASTER IS NOW WAITING FOR THE FINISHING PHASES OF CONSTRUCTION TO BE COMPLETED. THE COASTER WILL THEN UNDERGO A FINAL INSPECTION BEFORE IT WILL BE OPEN TO THE PUBLIC.

SCOTTS VALLEY OFFICERS SAVE LIVES-6/27/13-19:25 PMD

FOR THE SECOND TIME IN 2 MONTHS SCOTT’S VALLEY POLICE OFFICERS ARE CREDITED WITH SAVE A LIFE.  ON MONDAY NIGHT 3 OFFICERS PERFORMED CPR AND USED A PORTABLE automated external defibrillator TO SAVE THE LIFE OF A 36 YEAR OLD MAN.   THE MAN WAS  IN CARDIAC ARREST, THE OFFICERS WERE ABLE TO RESTORE HIS PULSE BEFORE PARAMEDICS ARRIVED TO TRANSPORT THE MAN TO THE HOSPITAL. A SIMILAR INCIDENT OCCURRED IN MAY.

MURDER SUSPECT ORDERED ON MEDS-6/27/13-19:10 PMD

THE MAN SUSPECTED OF STABBING A LOCAL BUSINESS OWNER TO DEATH WAS IN COURT THURSDAY.     44 YEAR OLD CHARLES ANTHONY EDWARDS III, WAS ORDERED TO TAKE MEDICATIONS TO TREAT HIS SCHIZOPHRENIA OR HE WILL BE FORCIBLY MEDICATED.   HE IS SLATED TO BE BACK IN COURT AUGUST 5TH TO DETERMINE HIS COMPETENCY TO STAND TRIAL FOR THE MURDER OF SHANNON COLLIN IN MAY OF 2012.

SC FIRE BY MYSTERY SPOT-6/27/13-18:50 PMD

A FIRE BROKE OUT THURSDAY AFTERNOON ON MYSTERY SPOT ROAD.     BRANCIFORTE FIREFIGHTERS RECEIVED THE CALL SHORTLY BEFORE 4 P-M.    THE BLAZE STARTED IN A VEHICLE AND HAD STARTED TO IGNITE THE SURROUNDING VEGETATION WHEN CREWS ARRIVED.    THE FIRE WAS EXTINGUISHED QUICKLY ONCE FIRE CREWS WERE ON THE SCENE.    THE CAUSE OF THE FIRE IS UNCLEAR.

WATSONV GARAGE SALE PERMIT-6/27/13-18:30 PMD

ON THURSDAY, WATSONVILLE POLICE BEGAN NOTIFYING RESIDENTS HOLDING GARAGE SALES, THAT PERMITS ARE REQUIRED WITHIN CITY LIMITS.    THE PERMITS, WHICH ARE AVAILABLE, ONCE EVERY 6 MONTHS, FOR 19 DOLLARS, AT THE POLICE STATION.   SELLERS WERE ALSO ADVISED NOT TO POST SIGNS FOR GARAGE SALES ON UTILITY POLES.
