TEEN RESCUED NR NATURAL BRIDGES - 05/28/11 23:48 S.S.

AN  18  YEAR-OLD  WAS  RESCUED  FRIDAY  AFTERNOON,  AFTER  HE  FOUND  HE  WAS  UNABLE  TO  CLIMB  DOWN  FROM  PINNACLE  ROCK  (NEAR  NATURAL  BRIDGES  STATE  PARK).      SANTA  CRUZ  FIREFIGHTERS  AND  RANGERS  WORKED  TOGETHER  TO  BRING  THE  TEEN  SAFELY  BACK  TO  THE  BEACH.

FIRE IN NURSING FACILITY - 05/28/11 23:30 S.S.

2  DOZEN  PEOPLE  WERE  EVACUATED  FOR  A  TIME  THIS  EVENING  FROM  A  MONTEREY  NURSING  FACILITY.     THAT  AFTER  A  COMMERCIAL  DRYER  CAUGHT  FIRE THERE.    THE  JUST  BEFORE  6  P.M.  INCIDENT  OCCURRED  ON  THE  15  HUNDRED  BLOCK  OF  SKYLINE  DRIVE.

CRASH VICTIM ID RELEASED 05/27/11 5:30 p.m.. TDH

MONTEREY COUNTY AUTHORITIES HAVE ANNOUNCED THE IDENTITY OF A WOMAN WHO DIED AFTER CRASHING HER CAR IN CARMEL YESTERDAY.   92-YEAR-OLD MILDRED FERGUSON LOST CONTROL OF HER CAR, WHILE DRIVING SOUTHBOUND ON OUTLOOK DRIVE.   THE VEHICLE WENT OFF THE ROAD, AND ROLLED DOWN A 75-FOOT-EMBANKMENT.   SHE WAS PRONOUNCED DEAD AT THE SCENE.

Fire Out in P.G. 05/27/11 05:15p.m. TDH

A small fire was extinguished today in pacific grove.  The flames charred a plot about 100 square feet large, near rip van winkle park on congress street.  Fire fighters from Monterey count and pebble beach fire departments responded to the 4 p.m. fire.   The cause is being investigated.

Lamb to Remain Under Supervision 05/27/11 4:15p.m. TDH

Convicted child molester james lamb will remain under state supervision, for at least another year.   that was the ruling today in a Monterey county courtroom, after a judge granted a request by lamb’s attorneys to remain under conditional release.   Lamb made the request through his attorneys, shortly after the 2-day hearing was reconvened after lunch.   The ruling means lamb will remain under state supervision, living in a trailer on a property off of river road, south of Salinas.  He will be re-evaluated in 1-year.
