AMBER ALERT CANCELLED-11\21\13-16:30-PMD

THE KING CITY GIRL WHO HAS BEEN THE FOCUS OF AN AMBER ALERT HAS BEEN FOUND SAFE.   YESTERDAY AFTERNOON (Thursday) at AROUND 3:00 PM, after tracking down several new leads, King City POLICE officers LOCATED MISSING 13 year old Daniela Rodriguez at a friend’s HOME in King City.  The King City Police Department is working with Monterey County Department of Social Services to insure THE TEENAGER receives the assistance that she needs.  Daniela was removed from the Missing Person system CANCELING THE AMBER ALERT.

 

The King City Police Department would like to thank EVERYONE who assisted with the search and who provided valuable information which HELPED police LOCATE Daniela.

41st Avenue Vehicle Rollover 11-21-13 14:30 av

An accident involving an overturned vehicle caused a portion of a major Capitola roadway to shut down for over an hour today.    Police say the incident occurred at 1 p.m. on the 14-hundred block of 41st and Alameda Avenues.   C-H-P reopened the area as of 2:30 p.m. after the vehicle was removed.   No injuries were reported.   The cause of the incident is being investigated.

Greenfield Gang Operation Arrests 11-21-13 13:30 av

Four Greenfield residents were taken into custody this week as part of a gang suppression operation.   Dario Lopez, Dolores Whitney, Isaias Vasquez and Reyna Chavez were arrested early Wednesday morning on multiple charges including a felony arrest warrant, possession of narcotic paraphernalia and weapons possession.   Officers from the U.S. Marshals office and Greenfield police conducted 20-traffic stops, 10 pedestrian checks and about 10-home compliance checks, and issued 1 traffic citation

Wanted Boulder Creek Man 11-21-13 13:00 av

The Santa Cruz Sheriff’s Department is asking for the public’s help in locating a wanted man.   39-year old Boulder Creek resident, Darren Brent Fenner is wanted for 3 felony Parole Hold no bail warrants. Fenner has a warrant for providing false information to a police officer and possession of drug paraphernalia. He is also known to frequent the Santa Cruz, Live Oak and Boulder Creek areas.   Anyone with any information about Fenner’s whereabouts is asked to call 911.

W’Ville Auto Shop Shooting Arrest 11-21-13 12:30 av

A man was arrested after shooting his uncle early yesterday morning at a Watsonville auto sales shop.  Police responded to Romo’s Auto Sales on East Riverside Drive just after 3:30 a.m to find 23-year old Josue Romo.   Police say Romo and his uncle had been drinking and using drugs in the business earlier that morning, when a struggle over a loaded revolver ensued.  The 55-year old man was air lifted to an area hospital with critical injuries, meanwhile Romo has been charged with attempted murder.
