A SALINAS MAN HAS BEEN SENTENCED TO PRISON FOR SEXUAL CHILD ABUSE. 30 YEAR OLD OCTAVIO FRANCISCO FLORES WAS CONVICTED OF MOLESTING HIS GIRLFRIENDS 7 YEAR OLD DAUGHTER IN 2019. ON FRIDAY A JUDGE SENTENCED FLORES TO 16 YEARS IN PRISON,
A person who shot and injured a man in Marina on Wednesday is being sought. The shooting reportedly took place around 5:15 p-m near the intersection of Reservation Road and Del Monte Boulevard. The shooter is believed to have been traveling in a silver van that was last seen turning onto Lake Drive toward Paddon Place. Anyone with information about this shooting, or the shooter, is encouraged to contact the Marina Police Department.
Based on local and state models, there is expected to be an increase in Covid-19-related hospitalizations and I.C.U. admissions, as well as deaths in late March and early April. A driver has been arrested after an investigation that took place in Monterey county. 29 year-old Silvino Suarez Benjar from Castroville was arrested after he was seen driving a suspicious vehicle that was towing a generator that was stolen in San Benito county. Benjar faces possible charges of possession of stolen property, and possession of methamphetamine for sale, as well as a variety of weapons charges.
