Salad Dressing Recall 02-16-21 10:56 S.S.

Mis-labeled  containers  of  salad  dressing  have  been  recalled  because  they  have  anchovies  in  them.     The  Brite  Harbor  salad  dressing  is  marked  as  Caesar  Dressing  And  Dip  on  the  front  of  the  bottle,  but  Bleu  Cheese  Dressing  on  the  back,  and  the  Bleu  Cheese  dressing  label  (which  shows  the  ingredients),  does  not  match up to  what’s  inside  the  jar.  Because  some  people  are  allergic  to  fish,  this  mis-labeling  has  led  to  the  recall  of  the   salad  dressing....that  was  distributed  in  the  states  of  WashingtonOregonIdaho  and  Utah.

PG – No Tax Increase.... 02-16-21 07:46 S.S.

Pacific  Grove  will  not  be  allowed  to  implement  the  half-cent  sales  tax  that  voters  approved  in  November.   That’s  because  the  California Department Of Tax And Fee Administration  will  not  administer  the  tax, due  to  ambiguous  language  in  a  resolution  that referred  to  a  wrong  municipal  code,  which  was  actually  fixed  back  in  December.  The  language  on  last  November’s  ballot  is  not  in  question.

The  increase  was  supposed  to  go  into  effect  April  1st,  and  the  city  says  without  the  added  revenue,  they  will  need  to  limit  some  services  the  city  generally  provides  to  residents.
