Rock Fire 75% Contained 06-25-22 18:15 S.S.

As of 6:15 p.m. this evening, Cal-Fire reported that the 1.5 acre Rock Fire burning in the Santa Cruz mountains was 75% contained.   The  brush fire, which inotially threatened 3 homes, broke out around 3:30 p.m. in the Upper Zayante area (near the intersection of Highway 17 and Hutchinson Road).  The cause of the Rock Fire is still being investigated.

Deadline to request a Vote by Mail Ballot for the
April 12, 2022, City of Pacific Grove Special Tax Measure Election

Salinas, CA –Tuesday, April 5th is the last day to request a vote by mail ballot for the Pacific Grove Special Tax Measure Election. Ballots can still be requested in person until Election Day at the Elections office, 1441 Schilling Place - North Building in Salinas and at the Early Voting Location on April 8th and 11th, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Pacific Grove Council Chamber- City Hall, 300 Forest Ave. Pacific Grove.

 

Ballots can be returned in person to any California polling place, vote center, official ballot drop-off location or elections office by 8:00 p.m. on Election Day; or by mail postmarked by Election Day and received by April 19, 2022.
