The credit cards from a lost wallet have been used, and their user is being sought. The wallet was lost at a Salinas Home Depot store, and the man who used the cards could face charges of theft, misappropriation of lost property, and fraudulent use of credit cards. Anyone with information is encouraged to contact the Salinas Police Department.

Central Coast Covid-19 12-01-20 07:01 S.S.

In San Benito county there are 155  active  cases  of  Covid-19  and  16  people  have  died,  while  in  Santa  Cruz  county  there  are  nearly 11-hundred  active  cases  and  28  people  have  died.   In Monterey  county,  82  people  are  currently  hospitalized  and  16  of  those  are  in  the  I-C-U.....and  121  have  died.

5 More Dead in MCo 12-01-20 04:03 S.S.

5 more people have died in Monterey county, bringing the total number of Covid-19 related deaths in the county to 121. In this last set of deaths 1 patient was younger than 55 years-old, while the other 4 were 65 years-old ir older. It is unknown at this time if any of the 5 had pre-existing conditions.

There are reportedly currently 4,000 active cases of Covid-19 in Monterey county. 82 of those people are hospitalized, with 16 oeople in the I.C.U.

Uptick in SC Co Hosps 12-01-20 03:51 S.S.

Due to the recent increase in cases of Covid-19 in Santa Cruz county, reportedly hospitals are at 80 percent capacity.....and more cases of the virus are expected in the coming weeks due to Thanksgiving gatherings. Although alternative care sites (to handle overflow patients) were initially identified and set up....there aren't enough specialized nurses to accommodate those sites.

47 people are currently hospitalized, with 6 if those in the I.C.U.

More Covid-19 Deaths 12-01-20 03:34 S.S.

2 more people, who lived in a skilled nursing facility in Santa Cruz, and who tested positive for Covid-19, have died. 61 residents, and 34 staff members, of Pacific Coast Manor in Capitola have tested positive for the virus since the beginning of the pandemic, and as of yesterday 48 residents and 20 staff have active cases of Covid-19.
