Covid-19 Test Kits At Home 12-10-20A 12:40 S.S.

The first over-the-counter Covid-19 test kit has been granted an emergency authorization by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration. The LabCorp Pixel COVID-19 Test Home Collection Kit allows adults to buy the kit and collect their own nasal swab sample at home. The samples are then sent to a LabCorp facility for testing. Positive or invalid results are delivered by phone or through a health care provider, while negative results are sent via e-mail or through an on-line portal. After someone purchases one of these kits they need to register the kit on a website and follow the included instructions

The first at-home prescription test, that yields rapid results at home, was also recently approved. It’s called the COVID-19 All-In-One test Kit, and it’s a molecular single-use test that is available by prescription only...and it takes about 30 minutes to get the results.
