The Santa Cruz County Fair saw an attendance increase from last year's numbers. An estimated 43-thousand people attended the 125th annual county fair. The attendance exceed organizers expectations, and beat the previous years numbers by more than 5-thousand people.

A MAN SUFFERED A WOUND TO HIS FINGER IN A SHOOTING IN SEASIDE LAST NIGHT. AT LEAST 5 ROUNDS WERE FIRED IN THE INCIDENT, THAT OCCURRED SHORTLY BEFORE 8 P.M. ON THE 14 HUNDRED BLOCK OF LUXTON STREET. THE 27 YEAR-OLD SEASIDE RESIDENT SUFFERED A GRAZE WOUND TO HIS FINGER, WHILE AT LEAST 3 BULLETS HIT A NEABY HOME. ANYONE WITH ANY INFORMATION ABOUT THIS 7:50 P.M. SHOOTING IS ENCOURAGED TO CONTACT THE SEASIDE POLICE DEPARTMENT.

A 2 YEAR-OLD SANTA CRUZ BOY WAS AIRLIFTED TO A BAY AREA TRAUMA CENTER AFTER HE FELL OUT A 2ND-STORY WINDOW LAST NIGHT. THE TODDLER WAS JUMPING ON HIS BED JUST AFTER 6:30 P.M., WHEN HE FELL OUT A PARTIALLY OPEN WINDOW….TAKING THE WINDOW SCREEN WITH HIM. HE WAS CONSCIOUS AND CRYING WHEN PARAMEDICS ARRIVED AT HIS HOME ON THE 100 BLOCK OF MARKET STREET (NEAR WATER STREET).

The investigation, into a fatal accident that happened last week in Monterey county, should be finished later this week. 87 YEAR-OLD PEDESTRIAN SAMUEL CONBOY SUFFERED CRITICAL INJURIES WHEN HE WAS HIT BY AN M.S.T. BUS, IN THE INTERSECTION OF PACIFIC AND DEL MONTE, WHILE HE WAS WALKING IN THE CROSSWALK AROUND 6 A.M. LAST THURSDAY.
