A Watsonville man died in a car crash early Friday morning. According to the CHP, a 33-year-old man lost control of his vehicle and crashed into a fence and several trees. The crash occurred near Amesti Road, east of Cypress Lane, at bout 12:30 a-m. The driver was declared dead at the scene.
The Monterey County Sheriff's Office is investigating a Las Lomas death. At about 11:30 p-m Saturday, deputies were called to Gregory Road to reports of a shooting. Deputies found a woman dead of an apparent gunshot. Detectives arrested two brothers, 27 yaer old Miguel Casillas-Cervantes, and 24 year old Axell Casillas-Cervantes were booked into county jail on multiple charges.

SHE WAS LAST SEEN WEARING A GRAY SWEATSHIRT, BLACK ADIDAS PANTS WITH WHITE STRIPES ON THE SIDES, AND CARRYING A BLACK JANSPORT BACKPACK. Emergency personnel rescued a hiker in Corralitos on Monday. Rescuers used rope systems to pull the injured hiker up a 900 foot embankment. The victim was transported to the hospital. At this time the extent of the victims injuries are unknown.
