2 events, that would have been held at the Monterey Conference Center, have gone virtual...at least for this year. The California Economic Conference, and the State Of The Region, would have brought in some much needed money for the Conference Center and county coffers. The last in-person event held at the Conference Center was back in March.

A 20 year-old man was arrested recently after he was found to have an un-registered loaded firearm in his vehicle during a traffic stop. Cesar Garcia was out on bail on a firearms charge out of Soledad, when he was arrested this week in Salinas. He now faces charges from gang member in possession of a firearm...to committing a new felony while on bail. Garcia was booked into Monterey County Jail.

A local pastor, who drove to Oregon to pick up 500 Christmas trees, will be giving them out for free...to people in need. Pastor Drew Cunningham is with Santa Cruz Baptist Church, and the trees will be given away there, from 5 to 9 p-m tomorrow night, and on Saturday from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m.

4 more residents of skilled nursing facilities in Santa Cruz have died of Covid-19-related deaths. 3 of them were residents of Santa Cruz Post Acute, and the other was a resident of Pacific Coast Manor. That was the 3rd death connected with P.C.M.
