New SPCA Facility 12.14.2020 0930 6 JS

The Santa Cruz Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, otherwise known as the SPCA has a new home.

Here’s what Ali Tailey, Executive director of the Santa Cruz SPCA had to say about the opening.

“[The facility] is sparkling new. I will say, there’s no duct tape anywhere! Often, folks are reluctant to come in, and we really wanted to create a space that people wanted to come, that wanted to see the animals, wanted to attend seminars or humane educational programs and I really feel like we’ve been able to create that”, Tailey said.

The new SPCA facility is over 7,000 square feet, or about six times the size compared to its older site, an indoor and outdoor space for dogs to exercise, a cat group room, and several rooms for future pet parents looking to get acquainted with a dog or cat in which they’re looking to adopt.
