Dentists Can Vaccinate 01-05-21 03:38 S.S.

Dentists in California will soon be able to administer Covid-19 vaccines.  That after Governor Gavin Newsom waived some restrictions.  Dentists (who opt to help with the vaccination program) will need to get trained by the CDC to deliver the vaccines.  Dentists who administer the vaccine will also be able to administer epinephrine and/or diphenhydramine, in case of a patient's severe allergic reaction to  the  Covid-19 vaccine.

SC Pre-school Re-Opens 01-05-21 03:16 S.S.

A Santa Cruz pre-school has re-opened.  That after Noah's Ark Pre-School And Day Care Center closed for a week....after a teacher tested positive for Covid-19 there.  The teacher was reportedly out before she tested positive, and no children have tested positive so far.

Monterey Co Vaccinations-1/4/21-1826-PMD

Monterey County began inoculating first responders over the weekend. Starting on Saturday EMTs and paramedics were scheduled to receive allocations of the vaccine at the Monterey Peninsula College Education Center in Marina. The exact number of those who received the vaccines has not been released at this time.

SC Harbor Parking-1/4/21-1756-PMD

The Santa Cruz harbor is delaying the issuance of 2021 Parking permits. The delay is part of  an effort to limit public interaction to slow the transmission of COVID-19, the Port District will delay the issuance of 2021 parking stickers until March 2021. The delay is an effort to comply with the State of California’s regional “stay at home” order, which became effective December 17th. The 2020 parking sticker will remain valid until March 31st.

EDD Stops Payments-1/4/21-1744-PMD

The EDD is suspending payments on certain claims. The department is suspending payment on claims considered to be high risk for fraud. The department is notifying claimants who are affected that they will need to re afirm their identities before they can resume payments.
