People aged 55 and older, the severely disabled, and victims of wildfires and Governor-proclaimed natural disasters, will now be able to transfer the taxable value of their original residences….to a replacement residence (anywhere in the state) up to 3 times in their lifetime. That’s according to an announcement by the California State Board Of Equalization this past week, which was based on Proposition 19, that voters approved last November.
