To reduce the spread of Covid-19, state guidance has been released for 2021 commencements and graduation ceremonies. Schools are asked to allow for at least 2 hours between ceremonies, limit groups to a household unit, and keep seating fixed and marked. All ceremonies will need to comply with outdoor seated live events and performances....and all attendees (including staff, performers, students and families) must be counted toward the capacity limit. The California Department Of Public health also recommends a variety of modifications to keep people safer.
Schools in counties in a tier that does not allow for outdoor live events, are urged to consider drive-thru or virtual events instead.
