Legislation has been introduced that would require the Employment Development Department to have a recession plan in place. SB-390 is based on the recommendations of the State Auditor’s Report, and would require the E.D.D. to establish, and routinely revise, a plan that would ensure that the department can rapidly, and efficiently, respond to an increase in claims that are due to an economic downturn.
