Mudslide On Highway 1 and River Road 01-27-21 10:23 S.S.

• There is  a  mudslide  on  the  closed  portion  of  Highway  1  on  the  Big  Sur  Coast.     The  mudslide  is  across  both  lanes  south  of  McWay  falls  (and  Anderson  Canyon).  Cal-Trans  has  equipment  in the  area,   and  crews  will  try  and  clear  at  least  1  lane 

River  Road  is  closed  between  Parker  Road  and  Chualar  River  Road,   due  to  flooding  and  mud/debris.     Although  1  lane  has  been  partially  cleared  by  county  work  crews  (so  that  emergency  vehicles  can  get  through  if  necessary),  both  lanes  are  not  expected  to  fully  re-open  until  at  least  tomorrow....after  a  contractor  clears  the  lanes.
