Monterey County Health officials are preparing to vaccinate residents over 75. The health department projects that medical providers could run out of vaccine before new supplies arrive. Right now the county is receiving 2,000 to 4,000 doses of vaccine each week, half of which must be used for the second dose in the vaccine series.
