UCSC Grant 1/22/21 Ci
Future marine biologists and scientists at UCSC will benefit from a federal grant from the National Science Foundation to study marine mammals.
The 152-thousand 929 dollar grant will be used to evaluate marine mammal data such as habitat usage, migratory routes and impacts of human activities near predators. Research will also focus on how to respond to climate change with the new data.
The grant was announced by congressman Jimmy Panetta earlier this week.
