In Pacific Grove, water access restrictions and access to several turnouts along Ocean View Boulevard were closed over the past weekend due to high surf.
Despite the precautions taken, Pacific Grove Police Officers conducted over 7 water rescues within a half-hour timespan.
Each rescue was successful, but officials with Pacific Grove PD recommend not turning your back against the water whenever high surf is forecasted if you’re adjacent to the coastline.
