Under a new health order signed earlier this week by Santa Cruz County Health Officer Dr Gail Newel, elective surgeries will be put on pause this evening at 5 PM.
The order was signed due to the overwhelming need to address the shortage of staff and facilities for patients infected by COVID-19.
