Some protesters were arrested during at the Capitol today as Sacramento police advised people to use alternate routes when traveling downtown.
The protests by supporters of President Trump against the results of the presidential election coincided with demonstrations elsewhere in the country, including in Washington D.C., where protesters stormed the U.S. Capitol.
In Sacramento, police said some people were arrested for carrying pepper spray. Police later said that “some physical altercations between two groups of demonstrators have been reported.”
