4 National Parks in southern California, and the Los Padres National Forest will temporarily not allow overnight camping in their developed campgrounds. That’s because park officials are hoping to protect visitors and employees by reducing the risk of potential exposure to Covid-19. The order went into effect this week, and is expected to last through January 6th of 2021. Hiking trails and other day-use areas will remain open, at least for now. The Monterey Ranger District is still closed due to the Dolan Fire.
