The San Benito County Board of Supervisors have extended the deadline for evaluating their public defenders, which was originally set for November 13.
San Benito County has three public defenders that they are contracted with:
- Arthur Cantu
- Harry Damkar
- Gregory LaForge
This public defender evaluation survey deadline has been extended to the first of December due to low participation, and was approved by county supervisors at a meeting last week.
During the meeting, a resident alleged that the survey was not advertised to residents and was only distributed to those incarcerated.
