It looked like a scene from a movie in Salinas last night when a dramatic high speed chase ended with a car plowing into Gino’s Italian Restaurant.
It began when Salinas police were chasing a sliver Mercedes that ran a red lite at Blanco road and south Main street… the driver reportedly lost control, hit another car and then slammed into Gino’s. Early reports indicate five patrons inside the eatery were injured but none of the injuries are life threatening.
