SC Medical Staff to get Vaccinations Dec 4th 11-10-20 17:38

Santa Cruz County may have dropped from the coronavirus orange tier to the red tier this week, but there is still some good coronavirus news for the county.

According to the county health officer, a vaccination will be available on Dec. 4 in Santa Cruz County, but only for first responders, skilled nursing residents and staff, as well as frontline nurses working with patients who are ill.

The two-shot vaccination for 5 million Californians will require 10 million doses of the new vaccine.

This week drug-maker Pfizer announced its vaccine might be 90 percent effective in preventing COVID-19.
