The Monterey County Sheriff’s Office says it today recovered what it believes to be a human body on Garrapata Beach. The body was found around 9:30 a.m. Tuesday but was in such bad shape that a forensic anthropologist is being brought in to make sure it is human.
Once it is confirmed whether the body is human, the Sheriff’s Office said DNA will likely be used to identify who the person is.
