Nearly 75,000 marijuana plants were seized recently, and 11 suspects arrested….in connection with illegal grows in the Los Padres National Forest. Along with the 74,600 live plants, were 15-hundred pounds of harvested marijuana, and 84 firearms. Such operations often leave behind illegal and toxic chemicals…..which can lead to a loss of native vegetation and contaminated streams.
