Slots for a COVID-19 test at the new Seaside High School Optum site have filled quickly as residents took advantage of the new testing opportunity.
The Optum site at Seaside High School is first come first serve but appointments are recommended. Organizers say the site cannot take walk-ins until after 4:00 p.m.
The site is open from 8:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday and appointments can be online at https://lhi.care/covidtesting or over the phone by calling 1-888-634-1123.
The site has the capacity to test 144 people a day. Organizers say it could change the overall picture of COVID-19 in the county.
