Hollister Giving $15,000 to Outdoor Dining Businesses 10-21-20 15:27 DC

The City of Hollister is giving $15,000 to businesses who want to improve their outdoor dining. Businesses that have moved dining outside will be able to get a permanent new look and money from the city to pay for it.

The city is also turning part of San Benito Street into a one way.

Hollister is using $150,000 that it received from the federal CARES Act, towards what they are calling a “parklet” program. Businesses can receive up to $15,000 for creating a parklet that is 15 feet or longer.

The parklets will be a deck style with canopy coverings. The City of Hollister is also pitching in $80,000 to the program. The parklets will go on either side of the newly one-way street San Benito street.
