31 years ago today, this area was the epi-center of the 7.1 magnitude Loma Prieta Earthquake……and today a documentary podcast series will be released about it. The 10 different parts of “Stories From The Epi-Center” will each focus on specific regions and aspects of the 1989 quake that killed 63 people, injured almost 35-hundred more. It also caused the collapse of both a portion of the San Francisco Bay Bridge, and a section of Highway 880….as well as crumbling structures in many areas including the downtown areas of both Santa Cruz and Watsonville.
