Update: Watsonville Man Sought 10-17-20 12:17 S.S.

A 47 year-old Watsonville man, with no prior arrests, is being sought in connection with a murder. Cesar Hernandez is believed to have killed his 24 year-old wife in their Watsonville home on the 700 block of Rodriguez Street, before driving the family car (with her body in it), and abandoning both on Mission Drive in Santa Cruz (near Dominican Hospital where the victim worked). Brenda Elizabeth Becerra was first reported missing at 3 a.m. Thursday morning, shortly after Hernandez dropped off the couple’s 2 young children with family members in Watsonville. The family members thought that was odd, and went to check Beccera’s home, and reported her missing. Becerra’s body was found just before noon that day. Anyone with information on Becerra’s murder, or Hernandez’ whereabouts, is encouraged to contact either the Watsonville Police Department, or the Santa Cruz County Sheriff’s office.

Hernandez is described as being 5 feet 9 inches tall, and weighing 180 pounds.
