It’s now the unlucky number of 13 victims that have died of the corona virus at the Watsonville post acute center… Santa Cruz county health officer doctor Gail Newel made the announcement of the three new deaths earlier this week.
Since the virus was first detected at the facility on September 17…. 50 of the 74 residents tested positive for the deadly virus and 21 members of the staff.
As of Thursday afternoon, Santa cruz county reported 2,670 known covid-19 cases, 222 remain active with 2,425 recoveries. So far, 172 have required hospitalization and another 53,799 have tested negative.
