Santa Cruz County is bringing the ballot box to residents in order to increase voter turnout in the social distancing era.
The “Vote Mobile” is a mobile voting unit that allows county residents to get a replacement ballot, vote on an ADA-accessible tablet, register to vote, receive a ballot in Spanish, or various other voting services.
For today, the trailer can be found at Lighthouse Point in the city of Santa Cruz on West Cliff Drive, 9 AM to noon.
After that, the Vote Mobile will move to Watsonville City Plaza Park from 2 to 5 PM.
The county plans to feature this trailer at farmers markets, senior centers, communities within the Santa Cruz mountains, and several parts throughout the county.
