Containment of the CZU Lightning Complex fire increased to 99% on Sunday evening. While evacuation warnings have dwindled, Cal Fire says nearly 1,000 people remain evacuated.
Officials say the fire should be fully contained tomorrow.
The fire is among the top 10 most destructive fires in California history. A total of more than 1,100 structures have burned in Santa Cruz County since the fire began Aug. 16. Of those structures, 925 are single-family residences.
