A 71 year-old Scotts Valley man was airlifted to Santa Clara Valley Medical Center last night, after he lost control of his vehicle on highway 17. As the result of losing control of his vehicle, William Thompson’s dodge ram pick-up truck (which had been traveling northbound, south of the El Rancho Drive exit), the truck landed on its roof in the southbound lanes. Thompson suffered major injuries in the accident that occurred shortly after 6 p.m.
