Friday Event 07-01-20 18:25 S.S.

This  Friday,  an  event  has  been  planned  that  is  scheduled  to  bring  several  groups  together. The  Black  Lives  Matter  group,  and  a  Latino  group.    The East Side & Seaside Solidarity March  will see one group set out at 10 a.m. from the Foods Co. parking lot in East Salinas, walking (or skating/biking/driving) to the new Salinas Police Department and then the District Attorney’s Office, before setting out for the soccer field at CSU Monterey Bay. Some of the demonstrators plan on walking, biking or roller skating the entire 13 miles from Salinas, but organizers are providing transportation for those who can’t make that journey on their own power. In Seaside, another group will set out at 1 p.m. from Greater Victory Temple, with a plan to arrive at the soccer field at 3 p.m.

There, organizers plan on creating altars to those who have died at the hands of law enforcement.
