What’s Essential, What’s Not 03-25-20 08:05 S.S.

Our local shelter-in-place  orders  mean  that  people  are  directed  to  only  leave  their  homes  if  work  at  an  essential  job  they  cannot do  from  home,   or  to  take  care  of  essential  needs.   Essential  Jobs  fall  in  to  one  of  16  sectors,  including:   gas  stations  and  automobile  repair  places;  law  enforcement,  offices  that  provide  government  programs  and  services;  media  and  communications;  information  technology;  pharmacies;  grocery  stores, food  banks, farmers  markets,  convenience  stores, takeout,  and  delivery  restaurants  and  food  services;  banks;  and  laundromats.   Not  Essential  are:  bars  and  nightclubs;   entertainment  venuespublic  events  and  gatherings,  and  gyms  and  fitness  studios.   That’s  not  to  say  that  exercise  isn’t  important,  it  is…..and  so  people  are  encouraged  to  go  outside  and  get  some  exercise….while  still  maintaining  at  least  6  feet  of  space  (between  themselves  and  anyone  else  not  from  their  own  household).
