A Watsonville fruit and vegetable stand will be changing hands. Buyer and partner John Burkett has retired, and Jerud Manfre is now the Vice President Of Operations for Watsonville Coast Produce. Jerud Manfre is the son of owner Gary Manfre, and has been working at the fruit and vegetable stand (on Holohan Road, near the intersection of East Lake Avenue) since he was 15 years-old. Gary Manfre purchased the business in 1974, and he will remain the C.E.O. and President of Watsonville Coast Produce.
