A new non-emergency mental health phoneline has debuted statewide. It’s called the California Peer-Run Warm Line, and is titled a “warm line”, instead of a “hotline”, so that people know that they can call it before they need a crisis-based intervention. To begin with, the 1-855-845-7415 line will be staffed from 7 a-m to 11 p-m Monday through Friday, Saturday from 7 a-m to 3 p-m, and from 7 a-m to 9 p-m on Sundays. By the end of the year the Call-Center is slated to be staffed 24/7.
