Emmissions Fight-9/22/19-0902-PMD

On Friday, The California Attorney sued the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration after it issued a regulation pre-empting the state’s authority to set vehicle emissions rules. Federal law sets vehicle pollution standards. However since the 1970s, the federal government has given California permission to set its own rules because it has the most cars on the road of any state and struggles to meet air quality standards. 22 other states along with some major cities have taken similar legal action.
