The Santa Cruz City Council will be addressing used syringes at its Tuesday meeting. Currently there are two used needle disposal kiosks in the city, located at the Emeline complex and on Water Street near the government center. In a proposal, in collaboration with the county, four more kiosks would be placed in problem areas. The proposal also aims to prevent any additional needle exchange programs as well as third party exchange programs. The meeting starts at 1p-m, at City Hall, 809 Center Street.
