This Friday, Cal Fire is slated to continue a prescribed burn in the Gabilan Range east of Salinas that started back in July.
Smoke from this controlled burn is anticipated to be seen from the Salinas Valley, Hollister, San Benito County, and Santa Clara County. This project is expected to affect 155 acres of land.
If the weather on Friday is found to be windy and unfavorable for a safe burn, this project may end up postponed.
