The Equine Healing Collaborative, which was started in the Carmel Valley, is now partnering with the owners of a horse rescue in Aromas. The 501-c3 non-profit Backstretch Ranch has 49 rescued horses over the years. Those horses are now therapy horse,s and assist people who suffer from a variety of mental health disorders. The 35-acre Backstretch Ranch is located on Rea Avenue.
