Cal-Fire has determined that there were 2 sources of ignition for the Camp Fire (that decimated the northern California towns of Pulga, Concow, and Paradise). In both cases they say that P.G. E. equipment was to blame. The 1st was outside Pulga, and the 2nd was on Concow Road. Last November, the Camp Fire (which burned more than 153-thousand acres) caused the death of 85 people and destroyed 18-thousand 804 structures.
Once the wildfire sparked, the strong winds, warm temperatures, and “tinder dry” conditions of the vegetation in the area allowed the more fire to spread at an extreme rate of speed.
According to Cal-Fire, more than 7500 wildfires in California burned more than 1.8 million acres last year.
