A trial date has been set for a 31 year-old man believed to have shot at 3 people at a Salinas apartment complex back in 2008. Known Sureno gang member Juan Antonio Cervantes is scheduled to return to a Monterey county courtroom in December. One of the victims in the Perez Street shooting succumbed to his wounds several days later, and the other survived (after suffering gunshot wounds to his arm, ankle and abdomen). The next court appearance for Cervantes is scheduled to be June 19th, for his Pre-Trial Hearing.
