Santa Cruz County is implementing a strategy against a nationwide suicide epidemic. Yesterday (Mon), The Santa Cruz County Suicide Prevention Task Force released an outline of its strategy. The new approach uses prevention and intervention through programs and services. The local suicide rate is more than 50 percent higher than the national average.
