Sunken Boat 3/25/19 Ci 10a

Today the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration will attempt to remove a 53-foot pleasure craft that started sinking Friday off the coast of Pleasure Point.

 According to a spokes woman from the coast guard, the Santa Cruz harbor got a call Monday last week that a vessel was in trouble and they rescued the occupants but the boat started sinking on Friday and that’s when the coast guard went out and noticed fuel was leaking. They removed the hazardous materials and refloated the yacht.

Now it’s the responsibly of noaa to tow the boat away. The coastguard spokes woman would not say where the boat was registered or to whom.
