A local tech company is not just changing it’s name, it’s expanding its focus. The global communications company Plantronics Incorporated has announced that they’ll be becoming a tech company focused on the human experience of communications and collaboration, and the new name they’ll go by (to herald that change) is “Poly”. That’s, in part, because they acquired Polycom last spring. Poly is marking the change in company name with the release of several new products, including the video USB device Polycom Studio; and the Cellphone Station Plantronics Elara 60 Series; and the first desktop phones that are certified for Google Voice.
